Should I buy solana today? When is the best time to invest is solana?

Hi all, I am new to crypto. I recently was interested in “altcoins/memecoins” but I had little luck. I am 17, lost around $100 from memecoins and I am looking for a better and more stable investment. I have been looking into both solana and etherium. I wanted to know what others thoughts were and if it’s worth me buying either. I was looking into price predictions but both seem to say online that they’re going to move relatively slow. I would like to know others thoughts and when is the best time to buy. Keep in mind I am new – I am still doing market research & learning.
