Blockchain rectification scam

Can someone explain how these rectification scam work. I received a DM on how to resolve an issue I was facing with withdrawing usdc via sol on the solana Reddit forum. I got sent a link that says blockchain rectification. I visited the link but left after 15 seconds as it seemed sketchy. Then url I got sent was HTTPS so I thought it was legit and Reddit user’s comments seemed very helpful in the community. I didn’t interact with the website no clicks or seed phrase were given. I just clicked the linked and read the landing page then left. The website has many selections that say “click here”. I’m curious how these scams work. Does simplify visiting website make you compromised ? I use cold storage wallet and wondering if by visiting the link I’m in any problems. Any thing I can do to verify in good, kind of paranoid rn ? Learned my lesson. Thanks !
