Didn’t think so.” Zeta-3 whirred indignantly, tilting forward. “That’s nothing. At least you didn’t have a dozen enemy trackers breathing down your—oh, wait, you don’t breathe.” “Neither do you,” MK-7 retorted smoothly. “But I digress. Was your mission successful?” Before Zeta-3 could reply, the briefing room door hissed open. The three bots quickly ceased their chatter and floated to attention as their respective Time Keepers emerged, their faces stern and resolute. “We’ll settle this later,” muttered Unit 12R, the faintest hint of a smirk in its synthetic voice.
