The Pepecoin team has recently raised the necessary funds to pay for a listing on a major exchange, showing the strength of the community. This might be OKX, as they’ve hinted on Twitter. The paperwork has either been signed or is almost finalized and a listing is expected in Q1 of 2025. The reason for working with such an exchange is the ability to buy PEP directly with fiat. This lowers the bar for newcomers to purchase PEP.
The developers are very active and will be there to clear up any misconceptions. It is a layer 1, PoW coin. Fees are also insanely low to send PEP. Furthermore, they are also working on a partnership with Tangem for a hot wallet.
Price prediction? Nobody can predict the future. However, the fundamentals are strong when compared to other ‘meme’ tokens or coins. I don’t think it’s a short term play, but rather a multiple year hold. However, I believe this year will also be very important due to new exchange listing(s) and multiple halvings taking place.
