In my last post I showed a list of the 15 most visible memecoins on Reddit. Above all, I compared Telegram activity to the marcet cap.
You find this post here:
Ultimate Reddit Memecoin Comparison – Top 15 Reddit Memecoins
I then received some feedback that this is only a small part of what makes a successful memecoin.
That’s why today I would like to give you more metrics to consider when looking for a GEM.
1. Community Activity (The Core of Every Memecoin)
- Why it matters: A memecoin without a community is dead. Check Telegram, Discord, Twitter, and Reddit.
- What to look for:
- How many active members?
- Are memes constantly flowing?
- Is the chat alive daily, or does it feel like a ghost town?
- Is just the Dev talking or is there an active Community?
- Are raid groups and engagement events happening?
2. Meme Quality (The Real Hype Driver)
- Why it matters: Viral memes drive visibility and buying pressure.
- What to look for:
- Are the memes having a special USP?
- Creativity and originality – Does the meme style stand out?
- Is there a catchy slogan or running gag attached to the coin?
3. Market Cap and Volume (Health Check)
- Why it matters: Low market caps mean higher upside but also higher risk.
- What to look for:
- Market Cap < 1M: High risk, high reward.
- Market Cap 1M-10M: Solid growth phase.
- Market Cap 10M+: More stable but slower gains.
- Trading volume – How often is the coin being traded daily?
4. Holder Structure (Watch for Whale Wallets)
- Why it matters: A few big wallets can dump and crash the price.
- What to look for:
- Anything over 3% in a single wallet is a potential dump risk.
- Use Bubble Maps to check for linked wallets.
- Look for coins with wider distribution.
- Check Holderscan for analyzing holder-growth.
5. Dev Transparency and Team Engagement
- Why it matters: A project with an active team sticks around longer.
- What to look for:
- Is the dev doxxed (publicly known)?
- Regular AMAs or community chats?
- Does the team interact with the community or sit back silently?
7. Narrative and Hype (The Storyline of the Coin)
- Why it matters: Coins with a strong storyline hold better during dips.
- What to look for:
- Is the coin’s story funny or catchy?
- Are there running jokes or seasonal narratives?
- Is the narrative evolving or stagnant?
8. Partnerships and Influencer Support
- Why it matters: Strong partnerships bring credibility and visibility.
- What to look for:
- Are influencers talking about the coin?
- Any collabs with other memecoins?
- Are CEX listings in sight?
9. Longevity and Development (Is the Coin Growing?)
- Why it matters: Coins that keep building last longer.
- What to look for:
- Does the project have a roadmap?
- Are they building NFTs, games, or staking features?
- Is the project still pushing after 1-2 weeks or fizzling out?
You won’t find a project that perfectly meets all of these criteria. The lower the marcet cap or the younger the project, the fewer criteria can be met. But the more criteria are met, the higher the marcet cap is inevitably. A good mix is therefore important. What’s important is that a project masters as many of them as possible.
Now that you have read my tips, here is my recommendation for this bull run
- Mid Cap: Kendu Inu & Hege
- Low Cap: Anarchy & Powsche
- Micro Cap: BreadCTO
The 5 I have presented meet the criteria very well in relation to their respective market cap.
Kendu Inu and Hege are safe bets. But the growth potential is of course limited. Anarchy and Powsche have a lot more potential, but they’re also not that safe.
BreadCTO is particularly exciting for me. The risk is significantly higher here, but the founders have proven that they are sticking to their long-term vision despite major dumps. Since BreadCTO is still around 100k, the risk-reward ratio is very good for a small investment.
