TLDR: Someone at JFK is using charging stations to shill a micro-cap cucumber-themed crypto coin. Found them using our FB accounts to promote it.
Story:
Last night I’m reviewing Facebook ads for our brand when I spot something that made me do a double-take – an AI-generated image of a grinning cucumber wearing a bitcoin chain, riding a rocket ship toward the moon. Not just in one account, but mysteriously uploaded to FOUR of our brand accounts.
At the exact same time, my coworker (who manages these accounts) texts me from JFK. He’s waiting for his international flight and had just plugged into one of those “free” charging stations by the terminal.
Within 20 MINUTES of connecting to JFK’s charging port:
- His phone was compromised
- Our FB ad accounts were infiltrated
- Multiple campaigns appeared with perfectly mimicked naming conventions
- That space cucumber showed up everywhere
- All promoting “Cucumber Coin” ($CCB on Solana)
Here’s where it gets interesting: A quick Solscan search shows $CCB is tiny – it’s built on Solana with a 150K market cap and around 500 holders. How is a (relatively) tiny memecoin operating so freely in one of the most secure airports in America? 🤔
Either: A) Someone at JFK is turning a blind eye B) The airport’s got a bag of space cucumbers they’re trying to pump
Has anyone seen anything like this?
