INTRODUCTION

AZKR is building Bank3, which aims to revolutionize crypto transactions by eliminating the need to know the recipient’s wallet address. Users can directly send crypto assets to Gmail or to social media accounts such as Facebook. With Bank3, accessing and managing digital assets becomes easy.

Their other projects include: AZKR-chain (a blockchain built with Gears for supporting ultraDAO and P2P finance), League of Identity (a decentralized threshold network to make identity-based cryptography practical by linking identities to providers like Google, Facebook, and digital identity cards), Timelock (a public service for encryption to the future, based on a new cryptographic protocol), and Gears (a Rust implementation of the Cosmos SDK with built-in cryptographic features).

ECOSYSTEM

BANK3

Bank3 allows users to send crypto assets directly to a Gmail address or a social media account, regardless of whether the recipient has a wallet. This allows senders to transfer assets without any prior communication with the recipient, making the process straightforward and efficient.

In practice, Bank3 can be implemented as a smart contract on any smart contract-enabled blockchain. This functionality allows non-crypto users to participate in the Web3 space, making crypto transactions more convenient.

– Privacy: Transactions are recorded on the blockchain, but the beneficiary information remains secret forever.

LEAGUE OF IDENTITY

The League of Identity (LoID) is a decentralized identity-based encryption and signature (IBE/IBS) infrastructure that leverages existing identity providers.

With LoID, users can obtain a cryptographic token (the “LoID token”) linked to their Gmail or Facebook account, phone number (linked to their Google account), social security number (via their digital identity card), Ethereum account, and more. These LoI tokens can be acquired through a practical Single Sign-On (SSO) process for Google, Facebook, and other social providers, or by signing a document with a digital ID card or an Ethereum wallet. These LoI tokens can have many uses, for example to sign messages or transactions on blockchains, or to decrypt secret messages.

It is important to note that end-users will almost never have to interact with LoID, or request LoI keys directly. Such interaction will be done by applications that use LoI in the background.

The first application of LoI is Bank3, a generic protocol that enables crypto users to send crypto assets to non-crypto users. In practice, Bank3 can be implemented as a smart contract on any smart-contract enabled blockchain. Many other applications of LoID are possible, both in web3 and in web2.

AZKR-chain

AZKRchain is a blockchain built using Gears, a Cosmos SDK written entirely in Rust. Its first value-added application will be Bank3.

– AZKR-chain will be a L1 chain with DAO-specific tooling

– Built-in privacy for voting, data access and temporary asset shielding

– Identity-based participation by default

– Web2 users will be able to interact with AZKR-chain without a web3 wallet.

GEARS

AZKR is supporting the development of Gears, a Rust implementation of the Cosmos SDK. The full functionality of the Cosmos SDK has not yet been implemented, however Gears can already be used to create basic Blockchains.

Gears has been used to build AZKRchain as well as Timelock.

TIMELOCK

Timelock main features include:

– Public keys for periods far into the future will be publicly available;

– Support for many cryptographic schemes;

– Relies on trusted randomness (the Drand beacon) published by the League of Entropy;

– The correctness and security of the scheme are guaranteed as long as a single party participating in the public key computation is honest;

– No trusted setup.
