How I did loose almost half of my wallet with a scam last week, why I already recovered and will get much much more back !

It has been quite some time now that I’m posting on Reddit about my conviction coins for this cycle. One one the most recurrent comment I get is : Scam. It is a bit annoying when you put time, energy and passion to write something from your heart, without using AI of course, and some random people just throw the taboo word without any argument and clearly without having done any research on what I mentionned.

So let me share with you my experience of a scam last week and what it really feels like. Of course in the crypto space, every one has to be extra careful. This is a jungle with dangerous animals that are waiting in the darkness to jump on your throat. That doesn’t mean the jungle does not have treasures inside, and by overcoming some fears, the reward can be great.

Very well aware of those bloodsuckers parasites, there are some golden rules to follow to stay safe. I broke them and the punishment was harsh…

On my way with crypto, I encountered of course the world of presales. I really am not into it, I don’t like it and I had never subscribed to any. Despite of this, I saw one on X (formerly twitter) that catched my attention tho. It was so simple, I quite liked the concept even if I wasn’t totaly in tune with it, so without any further researches, I decided to jump in.

Golden rule number one broke, I didn’t do my researches… I really don’t know where my head was this day, because after that, I broke golden rule number two. My cold wallet was the only wallet where I had some extra eth to spend. Instead of transfering those Eth to a day to day wallet, I connected my cold wallet to that presale app…

I love this cold wallet. It has never been hacked, it’s very simple and I feel totaly safe with it. But the way the transaction appears are not always clear enough. I connected my cold wallet on that presale link and accepted a transaction wich was I thought to buy the tokens. And an other one, thinking the first one hadn’t worked. I stopped there, feeling something was strange.

You got it. When I came back to see my tokens owning, all my $SPX and $OSCAR had vanished ! That was two of my 4 conviction plays ! Almost half of my wallet ! The cold wallet was renamed as cold shower…

I can’t deny that it hurts a lot. But I love strong emotions. Crypto space can be a rolercoaster and I love that. I could have cry for the rest of my life. Or I could use this experience. To write a nice Reddit post. To educate people about some golden rules. And to tell them how I recovered.

When a tree loose its leaves, that doesn’t mean the tree is die. Leaves will come back, the tree will go stronger. Crying about the fallen leaves only brings pain. Focusing on the new ones that are growing is my way of living. Let’s use this scam experience as an empowering one !

What did I do ? I grabed another bag of $OSCAR. 20x time tinyer than the first one. At that time, my Reddit post about my 4 conviction plays was written and ready to be posted on Reddit. I posted it, still with $OSCAR inside and my much smaller bag of it because it’s just the beginning, it has so much more way to go.

In the meantime, $SAITAMA on Eth started its big ascension. It is still happening, just the beginning. It is so massive that it made me recover more than what I had lost with the scam !

While some people where spending their time insulting with the scam word, some of us were really scammed. Some of us were working for their bags, writing, raiding, spreading the good vibes of real communities. Some of us were grabbing a bag and realizing a x15+.

You are really really lucky to be introduced to this coin this early. It’s still at the station. Read my previous mentionned post again. The train will leave soon enough and it will be massive. The narrative is too strong, it’s a year old coin that has spread its roots and will bloom at anytime.
