Crypto.com post $ye token and then quickly remove post with CA (NO UPDATE WHETHER IT WAS A HACK OR NOT)

I’m sure many of you are aware of the recent events that have unfolded regarding Crypto .com and their post about a Kanye (ye) meme token.

The screenshots below kind of sum up the situation. For those unaware, Crypto .com (crypto exchange platform) posted about a $YE token (address can be found on X by searching “$ye crypto. com” or similar). They then deleted the tweet minutes later. Kris (CEO) then replied to a person talking about it on X and said that it was more than likely a “junior staff” issue and that it wasn’t supposed to be posted, also mentioning that it wasn’t a hack as they have MFA on the socials.

What I am deeply concerned about is that Crypto .com have not shed light on the event since it happened. They have no publicly said that it was a hack, indicating that it could potentially be real.

The developer of the token then released a coin this morning via pump.fun ($sorry) with the pfp of “we hacked crypto .com” or whatever.

I want to get y’all’s thoughts on this as I am very surprised it hasn’t been mentioned by big names in the crypto space.

Maybe I’m delusional, but this is really fucked up.
