2025 Moonshot – how to grow without PVP

Here’s the problem with memecoins – they essentially run on hype and are designed to be “player vs player” (PVP), which means all buyers are competing against each other.

This is a zero-sum game where the early buyers or creators use the later buyers as exit liquidity.

The result is a chart that may go parabolic, but then quickly crash 90% or more.

And if you’re not an early buyer, or part of the “in group”, you are the mark. It is your money they are taking, regardless of the hype you hear about the coin.

So do memecoins have to be PVP? No. But the only way to create a positive sum game where ALL buyers are winners is to generate revenue. This means utility.

Yes I know, memecoins aren’t supposed to have utility. They’re silly memes and completely driven by hype. Yes, but if the market stays this way, the “memecoin supercycle” isn’t going to last. People are catching on, and they are tired of being taken advantage of.

This is why I think finding the diamonds in the rough that are true conviction plays is the way to go in 2025. You may not make 100x overnight, but you also won’t find your $1000 buy to be worth $12 in the morning.

Find the projects that are bringing in revenue and sending those funds directly back into the coin’s ecosystem. There are a number of ways to do this: you can burn tokens to reduce supply, you can add to the liquidity pool, you can create a marketing fund, or a lot of other things.
