from solo trader to community builder: my solana journey

Been trading solo for a while, and let’s be real – community is huge in this space. But there’s a problem:

Most of the action happens behind the scenes. Private chats, influencer gangs, Telegram groups… that’s where the real market movers are. It’s like there’s this whole hidden world of community hype that’s disconnected from where we actually trade.

I was always juggling tons of tabs – charts here, chats there. Saw how pump.fun put the chat right next to the chart and thought, “Now that’s a step in the right direction.” Keeping the community vibe and price action close just makes sense, you know?

Don’t get me wrong, dextools and dexscreener are solid. But for everyday trading recently I’ve been wanting something more… fun. Something that makes you smile when you’re checking your bags. 🙂

So after a month of grinding I made degengen.com. It’s my attempt to bring everything together and make trading more fun. You can create generative AI community trading pages with generative chats for any token, and actually enjoy looking at coins instead of it feeling like a chore.

One cool thing: the most active community trading pages get featured on the home page and in search. It’s like a way to surface the most hyped communities naturally.
