Being paid in USDT? Is this safe?

I recently accepted a new commission based role for a Real Estate agent covering Bali (the business is based in Russia) I work remote from home and I live in the UK, payment is either via USDT or a website called bybit.com however bybit.com does not work in the UK. I have had 3 video call interviews and been sent all the job training information so I don’t think the role is a scam I’m just very confused. I also know nothing about crypto and there isn’t an alternative for this to be paid into my bank directly..
