I’m not invested in any crypto, but I do love a good basic math problem.
There was some hypothesis that it was the US Government selling off 10,000 BTC to liquidate confiscated crypto from criminal activity. Is there a way to find out what actually happened, did more coins get liquidated?
Because it doesn’t take a lot of math to see that if liquidating 10,000 BTC caused the value of 19.795 Million BTC to drop by 3,000… that;
value drop ~3000
3000 * 19,795,000 = 59,385,000,000
Actual ‘value’ of 10000 liquidated BTC @ 59000 = 59,000,000
So There’s a factor of 1000, difference between Actual cash out value of 10,000 BTC and total drop in value over 19.795 Million coins. This doesn’t seem to bode well I mean even if you increase the liquidated coins by a factor of 10 and say 100,000 BTC were liquidated, it still makes the actual value of 100th of the value on the exchange.
Am I high or…
