Sent BNB To What Seems Like A Dead Wallet

Hi guys, I don’t know if this is the right place to ask for advice. I sent about $650 worth of BNB around 3-4 years ago to what looks like a dead address. I’m wondering if there might be any way for me to recover that? I came across this Reddit thread that gave me some hope, but I’m not really sure how to go about with the recovery. I’d really like to get it back if it’s possible

I can see the funds in the wallet using BSCscan, but it says Binance-Peg BSC-USD instead of BNB, I’m wondering if there might be any way to recover it?
