Our latest feature uses this programmability to implement gas abstraction, a long-anticipated benefit of wallets.

Fuse brings gas abstraction to life with fuseSOL and the Paymaster.

fuseSOL is Fuse’s native liquid staking token that:

– accrues staking rewards

– provides instant liquidity

– enables gas abstraction

The Paymaster “abstracts” gas fees by automatically converting fuseSOL to SOL for gas fees to maximize staking rewards and simplify fee mgmt.

Here’s the flow:

1) fuseSOL automatically tops up the Paymaster

2) the Paymaster auto-converts fuseSOL to SOL

3) your smart account signs a tx (e.g. a transfer)

4) the Paymaster pays the related tx fee

From the user’s POV the conversion is completely abstracted.

Separating the object that creates the tx from the object that pays tx fees enables future use cases:

1) Users can pay gas fees in any token (USDC), simplifying onboarding for new users.

2) Apps can cover tx fees for users, reducing friction and incentivizing user adoption.
